Questions and Answers

How long have you been shooting professionally?

I've been shooting semi-professionally (not full time) for 7 years now.

Do you shoot weddings, head shots or any other events?

No. I'm strictly architectural.

How long does it take to deliver final images?

I have a pretty quick turnaround. Depending on the size of the home I can typically deliver final images in 24-48 hours.

How much time does it take to shoot a 2500 square foot home.

I'll need 2 to 3 hours on site for full interior and exterior images.

How many images can I expect?

No matter what the size I always aim for a minimum of 30 images for MLS. For larger homes I will often deliver 60+ final images.

How much do you cost?

My minimum fee regardless of size is $499. The price scales up from there depending on the size of the home/property. This includes all interior and exterior images from a single visit. Sunset/twilight shots have an additional fee.

Do you shoot all over the island or state?

Yes. I'll shoot anywhere but there will be a travel fee outside of west Hawaii.

What time of the day do you shoot?

The morning is typically the best time to shoot for blue skies.

Do you shoot sunset or night images?

Yes, I have a twilight process that involves shooting the home from sunset into the evening to capture the changing light. This takes about 2 hours and results in 1 primary shot of the home and a handful of other shots depending on how quickly the light changes. Since sunset and twilight shots require a return trip there is an additional fee for these images.

Do you shoot RAW images and can I have the RAW files?

No. My process involves multiple RAW images for each final edited image and I'm often in many of these shots holding the flash unit to enhance the light in a certain part of the image. I will deliver Full Resolution JPG images as the final product (without me in any of the shots of course.)

Do you shoot video?

Not at this time. I have a great referral for your video needs.

Why should I hire you?

I'm very easy to work with. My primary goal is to capture the best possible images and avoid all drama. I've photographed over a half billion dollars’ worth of real estate on the Big Island for dozens of agents, designers, builders and architects. I grew up on the Big Island and feel very fortunate to be able to live here with my family. I've been to over 120 countries which has given me a unique perspective on just how incredible the Big Island is. We are all lucky to have a connection to this place.
